Support us
We are really grateful for the generosity shown to Skipton Food Bank, we are well supplied with both food and finances by our local community.
Just so you know, donated food and other essentials are organised and packaged in either single or family parcels before being given out to those referred to us by local support agencies. Financial donations are used to buy food, support the running of the Food Bank and also to offer support where needed for those struggling to support and feed themselves and their families. We don’t operate in isolation. Along with our referring agencies, we work very closely with the CAP (Christians Against Poverty) debt centre, CAP job club and the Well-being cafe-run at St Andrews Church Hall.
We have joined the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. We are also now operating out of ‘The House’ which is part of Skipton Baptist Church, next door on Otley Street. We are distributing our parcels from there and offering people a cuppa and a listening ear when they pick up food from us. We will be operating alongside our CAP (Christians Against Poverty) debt centre and Renew cafe aiming to be a welcoming place to help and signpost people who need further help. This is only possible due to the generosity of people through donations of food and finance.
We really want to thank all our donors past and present – without you we couldn’t meet the needs that we are doing.
